Mission Statement

The San Marcos TX, Queer Council is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, primarily funded through fundraising activities supported by the local San Marcos and surrounding area communities.

San Marcos Queer Council’s mission is to foster a sense of belonging and wellbeing for all LGBTQIA2S+ people. We facilitate peer-led, affirming, inclusive, and educational events and spaces for the queer community and allies. We invite queer people to be themselves and feel empowered.
